Information

Kosmopolska is a Swedish computer game that was released in 1997 on CD-ROM for PC. It’s developed by the company Vision Park, and published by IQ Media.

Story

Kosmopolska begins with the protagonist being locked inside a prison cell. He’s suffering from amnesia, and doesn’t remember who he is or why he’s been imprisoned. The only person he can talk to is a prison guard who initially is very reticent. When you explore the cell, you begin to find small strange details, that in some unexplainable way transport you back and forth to another, colorful and comedic world.

In this world, a number of different nations are competing in a space race. Your mission is to help Poland win, by training cosmonauts, build spaceships, and travel to the moon, Mars and further into space, while trying to figure out how this world is connected to the prison cell and your memory loss.

Gameplay

Kosmopolska consists of three different kinds of game mechanisms. In the cell, you have to solve different puzzles in order to travel to the “space world”. In this fantasy world, there are different minigames to finish, and a kind of real time strategy game in which you are competing against other nations to be the first to construct different spacecraft.
